Net Zero Valley Schleswig-Holstein connects with European partners
At Decarbon Days 2026 in Cottbus, Clean Energy Valley Schleswig-Holstein presented the Net Zero Valley Schleswig-Holstein project to a distinguished audience of experts from politics, business and European institutions. The focus was on exchanging ideas, building networks and further developing joint strategies for industrial transformation.
Decarbon Days 2026 provided Clean Energy Valley Schleswig-Holstein with an important platform to introduce the planned Net Zero Valley Schleswig-Holstein to national and European transformation initiatives. The event brought together representatives of European institutions, Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and numerous stakeholders involved in industrial transformation.
The conference highlighted that many regions in Germany and across Europe face similar challenges on the path to climate neutrality. At the same time, individual initiatives are pursuing different and innovative solutions, providing valuable ideas for mutual exchange.
A particular highlight was a moderated workshop with European initiatives. Participants discussed prospects for closer collaboration and specific opportunities for support and cooperation. The intensive face-to-face exchange underlined the importance of strong networks for successfully implementing transformation processes and expanding climate-neutral value chains.
Steffen Volk’s contribution was particularly valuable for Net Zero Valley Schleswig-Holstein. As a speaker, he introduced the initiative and contributed key ideas to the discussions.
Meanwhile, according to the initiative, the application for Net Zero Valley Schleswig-Holstein is in its final phase. Those responsible are therefore looking forward with anticipation to the next steps and the project’s further development.
